The Patchwork Girl of Oz is the seventh classic fantasy novel in L. Frank Baum's beloved Oz series. The story follows a Munchkin boy named Ojo the Unlucky, who visits the magician Dr. Pipt as he brings a living patchwork doll named Scraps to life using the Powder of Life. However, an accidental spill of the Liquid of Petrifaction turns Ojo's Uncle Nandywog and the magician's wife into solid marble statues. Accompanied by Scraps (the Patchwork Girl), the Glass Cat, and later the Woozy, Ojo embarks on a whimsical quest across the Land of Oz to collect five rare magical ingredients needed to create the antidote and restore his family.
